This paper aims to analyze the number and percentage of patients who received doses of vaccines Hepatitis B in a community center in the Bronx, New York, USA, in the period of three years, covering the study years 2004 to 2007. It is known that hepatitis B affects often ranging in age from 20 to 39 years. In the case study most of the cases were adults and immigrants in large numbers. One should keep in mind that most people infected with the virus of Hepatitis B in the United States are immigrants preferably from Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. A descriptive study, retrospective for the number of patients who received the total of 3 doses of the vaccine against Hepatitis B. We used a computerized system to identify patients who received the hepatitis B vaccine during the period January 2004 to December 2005. It covers the number of doses received and identified a total of 325 patients who received Hep B vaccine during the period of our study. It was verified that 136 patients received 3 doses and were more women than men immunized with this amount of dosage. Due to the need for immunizations against Hepatitis B is recommended as a possible solution to complete the number of doses needed for the residents of this community, the use, and then monitoring through, the electronic filing of state or national vaccination, also enhance the educational programs targeting to patients about the importance of vaccination.
