Seventy one subjects accidentally exposed to organophosphorous pesticides were studied and their cholinesterase levels, hemograms and platelet counts were determined. Forty four individuals who presented plasmatic cholinesterase levels lower than the references values were selected. In the hematological evaluation, a decreasing trend was observed in platelet count with values lower than 150 (109/L). The remaining determinations did not show significant differences.
