Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis is a rapidly appearing rash characterized by sterile red and swollen skin dotted with non-follicular pustules. It can be accompanied by fever and systemic symptoms, and usually resolves spontaneously within 15-20 days. It generally affects adults, and few pediatric cases have been reported. It is most often associated with medicinal products such as beta-lactamases, macrolides, and paracetamol, among others. Less common causes include viral infections produced by enteroviruses, cytomegaloviruses, parovirus B19, mycoplasma, exposure to mercury, or ingestion of food allergens. We present the case of two children with acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis.
