Linear IgA dermatosis is a generally rare autoimmune bullous disease characterized by the linear depositing of IgA along the basement membrane of the epidermis. Originally thought to be a manifestation of dermatitis herpetiformis, it is now known through immunopathological and immunogenetic studies to be a distinct entity. Its characteristic trait is the formation of new papules “ringed” around the older lesions. We present the case of a 14 month-old male child with linear IgA bullous dermatosis who responded well to conventional treatment.
