Abstract

We present the case of a child with acquired nevus lesions on the back that developed notable depigmented areolas, and subsequently, depigmented macules on the knee. Diagnoses of melanocytic nevus with incidence of halo phenomena (halo nevus) was proposed, and confirmed by histopathology, associated with vitiligo. The pathogenic mechanisms, differential diagnosis, and management of these cases is discussed.
