Information Literacy (ALFIN) has been and continues to be one of the skills most used by librarians for the selection and dissemination of information; in the time of pandemic in which we live, university libraries have had to focus on ALFIN as a means to strengthen the type of information to which their users access. Carrying out a reflection on the role of the librarian in relation to false news or fake news and their relationship with ALFIN has been the challenge for many information professionals in academic areas at universities.
In these times of confinement, university students access all kinds of information that circulates through WhatsApp and social networks, many do it for leisure, others to stay informed but the most important thing is to take advantage of Information Literacy to strengthen the search for information in reliable sources.
