SUMMARY Endometriosis, a benign gynecologic entity, is characterized by presenting itself in a chronic way in women during her reproductive years, being estimated up to 15% of all premenopausic women. Being characterized by endometrial tissue outside the uterus due to the retrograde transtubarian flow of menstrual blood, its clinical presentation is highly inespecific and varies due to the concomitancy of intestinal and gynecologic symptomatology. It can present with abdominal and/or pelvic pain that appears or increases with menstruation, abdominal distention, rectal bleeding and/or pain as well as with changes in bowel habits. Intestinal obstruction generally occurs when the ileon is affected, being the colonic one infrequent. Its rectosigma localization is the most common when it occurs. The objective of this clinical presentation is to refer the case of a patient that we had at our General Surgery Department headquarters at the Instituto de Prevision Social with colorectal endometriosis, a rare pathology nation and worldwide.
