Resumen

FERNANDEZ-CERERO, Daniel. Barriers in technological training of health science teachers. A case study. Rev. Int. Investig. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2024, vol.20, n.1, pp.89-102. ISSN 2226-4000.  https://doi.org/10.18004/riics.2024.junio.89.

The digital competences of teachers are a key variable for integrating ICT into the teaching-learning process. Their development has become one of the main training problems affecting the educational field in general, and even more so in the training of Health Science professionals. The purpose of the study was to find out the main barriers to technological training encountered by secondary school teachers who teach health education subjects in Seville (Spain) and its province. The research design is based on a descriptive ethnographic research perspective, where 60 interviews were analysed. Among the conclusions we can highlight that the main barriers that hinder the implementation of technological training activities in health science teachers are determined primarily by economic factors, time and attitude of teachers.
