Abstract

This qualitative study analyzes the metaphors used by teachers and directors of Peruvian schools, their relationship with school management in order to understand their reality, and serve as basis for future studies that propose improvement actions to strengthen their culture. For this, a survey was applied to 100 teachers from the different regions of Peru, obtaining that their management is recognized, mainly, under a political perspective, where it is indicated that it involves the generation of resistance, conflict resolution, empowerment and focus. of human development. Likewise, various metaphorical patterns were recognized that are capable of reflecting the particularities of each school culture, and the most identified metaphorical orientation is empowerment. Finally, the metaphors demonstrated that when they are used as an object of analysis, they allow the recognition of interests, needs, difficulties, conflicts and others that contribute to decision-making in favor of the achievement of the school's objectives.
