Abstract

ARIAS HERNANDEZ, Jazmín. Territorial resilience, a conceptual proposal for Nuestra América. Acad. (Asunción) [online]. 2024, vol.11, n.2, pp.109-124. ISSN 2414-8938.  https://doi.org/10.30545/academo.2024.may-ago.2.

The territories ofNuestra Américahave been subjected to natural and sociopolitical dynamics that put them at risk. However, governmental authorities have preferred to implement strategies borrowed from the so-called developed countries rather than to develop their own strategies based on local past-experiences and knowledge. Therefore, from the need to reflect on the importance of construct proposals for the integral resilience of the territories, considering the characteristics and potential of local ecosystems and sociocultural aspects, the historical particularities and political ecology aspects stand out. Those are important in the construction or strengthening of resilience in Nuestra América.
