ABOUT THE JOURNAL

 

Basic information

The Journal Memories of the Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Salud. is the official body of the Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Salud (IICS), of the National University of Asunción (UNA), for the publication of scientific papers. In this journal original contributions in the area of ​​health are published and are available on an electronic platform for scientists from Paraguay and the world. The journal accepts pre-published or pre-printed articles (preprint) on servers with this methodology. As of the year 2023, it adopts the article publication system in continuous flow, without a pre-established periodicity.

The IICS - UNA, began the publication of its scientific works in printed form in 1983 in the journal denominated IICS: Revista, which lasted until 1986. Then, in 1989 as Publicaciones. From 1990 to 1998 the journal was published as Annuals Reports and since 2002 it has emerged as Memorias del IICS and since 2005 has also been published in printed and electronic form. As of 2015, it is published exclusively in the online version.

The abbreviation of its title is Mem. Inst. Investig. Cienc. Salud., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, legends and bibliographical references.

Digital Preservation

The Memorias del IICS Magazine preserves all the documents it publishes electronically in different formats (data backup), allowing digital access to the documents and future transfer when necessary. The backup of the OJS information is carried out on a daily basis, incremental and differential type, which allows access to all the modified or deleted information. If the equipment fails due to damage, breakdown or other incident, the journal has a backup server with the same configuration as the downed service. This allows the replacement of the equipment that presents the faults. In addition, there is a data synchronization system from the backup server to the backup server.
